Yeah...everytime you ask about the Fet´s, everybodys like " it´s soooo easy..." but when you want someone to show you how it´s done no one can help you?
Sorry if i sounded cranky..... I want pictures to :?
To Minimonster: I´ll PM the pictures to you if I find any....
HAHAHA, I know how you feal. About a year ago I set out to try and find pics and/or write ups on how to do the "FET" mod but everywhere I looked I found nothing, nothing! So, I looked again and finaly found some pics from some random site, e-mailed the guy and he sent me more pics and told me how to do it. Really nice guy. Anywho, it is really easy IF you have a steady hand. I've done it to both of my mini-z's now and they both still work great and run perfect with upgraded motors. Gimme a few mins and I'll find the pics and post them with alittle write up to go with it. :D
It is really simple, just solder on the FETS and go. I tried soldering all the little legs together (thought it would be better  ) but when I turned it on it started to smoke 8O . So I UNsolder them and REsolder them the way you see them in my photo album. The guy had a extra wire solder on the ecu so I asked him about it and he said it just helps with getting better antenna response. Not sure it it works but I can run my Z all the way down the street where I can't barely see it anymore and I still have control of it :D . If you want a pic of that wire, I'll have to dig it up so it may take a few days.
Steps of install
1) Clean the Old fets (the ones still on your Z) just to make sure the solder will stick.
2) Solder the new FETs onto the old ones, many have done it this way including me and it seems to make no difference wether you take off the old ones or just solder the new ones on so this way saves some time and hassle. Also, try not to fry your ECU by soldering to much too fast. Let it cool down in between adding new FETs
3) Make sure you didn't skimp on the solder. (means use plenty of solder so you have a good solid bond onto the metal)
4) Check you ECU for any solder that may have dripped where it should not be. **THIS IS A MUST! You WILL fry your ECU if you don't clean up any missplaced solder.**
5) Before putting your Z back together test it. Turn it on and off to see if any smoke or sparks happen. If any smoke or sparks happen, go back and check for any solder that may be misplaced.
6) If all seems well, put it all back together and have fun. Soldering makes your ECU very hot so let it cool down before you begin to play with it.
Hope this helps everyone that plans on doing this great mod.
TIP: get an electronics stand w/ alligator clips on it or just get an alligator clip. now w/ the FETs you want to stack/add on, bend the legs downward and stack them one on top of the other and use the alligator clip to hold them in place and solder the legs together. this makes soldering the legs a lot easier and so you wont have to solder all of them on the esc w/ that dumb box in the way. another way you could do this is add a lil super glue between the fets to hold them in place while u solder. i also suggest that you grind your tip of the soldering iron or at least clean it off w/ some sort of abrasive object ie: sandpaper, or a file. this will allow better contact on the solder and cause it to heat up and melt quicker so you wont have to putz around on the electronics board longer than you need to. narrow tips work the best. dont try to rush things--thats how bad things happen. patience is a virtue.

Hope that pic works, but if it doesn't just go to my photo album here on this site for the pictures of the FET mod http://www.minizworld.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album49&op=modload&name=Gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

Ohh yeah, never work on your Z with the batteries in it. Tell me if it works.

Neat little trick with the super glue, never thought about that. Maybe next time I'll try that. Thanks
It would probably be a good idea to use heatsink compound between the FETs.
