I need suggestions on the following:
1) Which motor mount is the best and how do the ones with the set screws work? What keeps the motor from going too tight against the pinion.
2) Which ball diff is the best considering I am not spending the money Kyosho wants for one.
3) Are bearings worth it, if so where is the best place to get them cheep?
4) Whats the best H-plates to get? Mine is broken.
5) The front end wheels are sloppy as heck, how do I fix this and what parts are needed? Improved straightline and cornering are desired also.
I am hoping to order all this stuff from one place very soon so I can race again next week. Also, I race on concrete floors in my friends basements. So the surfaces are all pretty smooth.
Thanks

1). I think the new PN Racing motor mount is the best, its light and looks very pro.
2). Hmmm tough one, I think GPM supposedly puts out a good one, but it isnt alot cheaper than kyosho.
3).Bearings....hmmmm....GET THEM...they are a very important mod, they make the car run smoother and faster, for longer.
4). Id say GPM carbon fibre plates, extremely strong (you will never break them) cheap and very good.
5).Sloppy, you mean steering play?
Goto this link to find out how to fix.

To fix the cornering ability, add a -1 steering rod, ball diff, wider wheel and tyres (med-soft hardness) try spring sets and camber blocks.
To fix straight line (speed?) Motor upgrade, bearings, wider wheels and tyres, ball diff.
Smoothe surfaces are always tricky to race on. Medium tyres should be yor best bet. Not too much power either, you will find on that surface that the stock motor and 8 tooth gear will work the best.

1) agreed..the new pn racing motor mount is pretty good, you don\'t have to deal with spacers at all. the only downside is that you need a drilled motor can, like the pn ball bearing can...which works darn good as well.
2) bite the bullet and get the kyosho ball diff...we\'ve tried all kinds and so far the kyosho ball differential is the best by far. you can browse the other forums and find the same answer.
3) bearings do help, and topcad makes them for pretty cheap.
4) I haven\'t tried the GPM plates. I have tried the kyosho, mzracer, megatech, topcad...the only one I like in terms of durability is the kyosho H plates..unless you want to use the megatech steel h-plates..you\'ll never break another one (unless you drive it off a roof or something)
