I just bought my mini-z, from dinball, and they shipped it to me in l.a. The car is great except the steering glitches when i turn on the car. Its a stock version, so no turbo or anything, (what do capacitors do?). Is the steering servo screwed up? what do i need???

Z-ster,
Capacitors reduce the electronic noise created by the motor.
How is the steering glitching?
If you don\'t turn on the radio first the receiver in the car does not have a signal to synchronize with. As a result the front wheels can appear to be freaking out. Try turning on your radio first then your car.
Thanks
Thanks for the info robifon!
no problem with motor noise, so i guess i wont need to get capacitors.
whether i bring the radio real closer or far away, and i\'m not touching anything (trims, trigger, steering wheel), the steering twitches, glitches slightly now and then. like its receiving signals from the radio. so when i try driving it in a straight line for a short distance, the twitch throws it off the straight line.
thanks for tip on turning on the radio first. Thats how i did it.
Do u think its the crystals as fredsambo suggests?
if its very very small, its normal... if its large... as in larger then the loose-sloppy feel of the front tires due to large holes etc holding it together... then its a problem.
This is normal to all servos because its constantly trying to recenter.. however the slop in the nose can cause it to recenter more then other servos... and the primary cause is inside the servo the sensor that is used to \"sense\" the center point... can move as well... thus the center point can never realy be found.. so you have to snug up the potentiometer inside the servo with a small piece of paper... in a few places (see my site, with servo tips/tricks page, dont have time to retype it)
thanks draconious, i guess its pretty small, definitely not large loopy feeling like u r describing. the info on the sero stuff is really helpful, will check out your website. dinball asked if i wanted to mail it back for servicing, but i guess its not huh??
