All new Iwaver !! 56k warning !!

Just purchased my first Mini Z, we'll actually it's and Iwaver-01.
First impressions are WOW!! What an amazing car for the money!
I've not seen or driven an original Mini Z so I can't give any comparisons, but it handles well and the
speed is more than fast enough for my living room and the quality seems pretty good too. :-)
For the price of one Mini Z here in the UK, I can buy 3 Iwaver's shipped!!
I ordered my Iwaver from Toyeast, which seems the cheapest place to buy these cars from, they also give quality service.
I emailed Toyeast just say that my Iwaver had arrived and how pleased I was with it and in
return I recieved a very interesting email from Steve at Toyeast which I thought you guys might be intersted in.......

I would like to express my best regards to your kind words.
This Iwaver we have spend 1.5 year to gain the experience from past few generation. We made more than 50 improvements compare to the fundamental version.
However, I can guarantee that Iwaver development is only at lever 2 (level 10 full mark), since many parts will come this week or next week. Also, the GT40 and Porsche Body will come at this month.
If you check www.Iwaver.com, the 02 version is coming too and I attached some pics to you, the 03, 04 will come this Christmas or Jan next year.
So, all Mini-Z player can enjoy 30% of original to buy one and we will try to made them better than Original. Especially the Transmitter in 02 is very like Futaba one, have full function and 10 memory. Same Futaba Transmitter sell at $120 USD in Hong Kong."

I've just received the new Iwaver 02. First impressions are excellent :-)
The quality has improved loads, the chassis seems allot smoother running than the 01 with allot better control, the suspension seems a little sticky at first but the graphite trick works great!
In the box there's lot's of little spares, springs, pinions and tools etc
The new transmitter is awesome too, loads of features to mess with, and real easy use.
The 10 model memory is a great feature, I have it set up for the Iwaver 01, 02, HPI pro4 and my FG Marder.
It works great with all of them no problem.
It has Servo end point adjustment, Digital trim, Dual rate steering, Throttle ATL, Servo reverse and ABS.
The display is nice and clear and shows a constant monitor of the battery voltage, and gives you and audible warning when the voltage drops below 8.5V
One little problem is that the blue LED on the controller is so bright!! But nothing a big thumb or bit of tape can't sort out.
It all comes in nicely designed box with 2 manuals, one for the car and one for the transmitter.
All in all an awesome package for the money, well worth every penny IMO.
I'm just about to order an 04 and more crystals for my other RC's to make more use of the 10 model memory :-D

i don't see iwavers in the store here so i'm guessing it's ok to mention that mzr now has the iwaver iw-01, 02 and 04's in the shop and being listed as i type!
i would suggest ordering from them over toy east for a couple reasons.... the price shipped is the same if not cheaper at mzr, if you were to have a problem with your iwaver, you need only contact mzr and not a shop over seas.
if you purchase very soon your likely to get it before xmas as mzr uses usps priority shipping 2-3 day service.
btw,
what is the opinion of the new iwaver tx? any thoughts? i'm looking to buy the 04 just to get the tx....
What's up man, I bought two Iwaivers off Ebay in the last three months and I plan on buying two more. I also have the original Mini-z and I'd say they perform about the same. What I notice is the steering in the Iwaiver is better than any of my mini-z models. If you look on Ebay you'll find that ToyEast also has a new moter that's suppossed to be faster the X-speed moter from Kyosho. I agree that Iwaiver truly is the best deal for your money. Peace out!
