Hey, I'm also X over xmodworld, and have spent a lot of time with xmods, and am now planning on crossing over into the mini-z world via the mad force. what i really need is some honest answers from true owners

-really, are they that fun? and how long until you get bored?
-what are the essential upgrades?
-what upgrades show the greatest improvement (besides liths and a new motor of course)
-are they high maintanence?
-truly, are they worth the buy?

i appreciate any answers to any of these questions.

thanks

Re: The mini-z monster... please reply if you own one

Hey, Dean I truly appreciate your answer it was a big help!!

I don't really have plans for a track, I just plan on driving it over everything, making jumps for it etc. But any simple pointers on making a simple track would of course be appreciated never the less.

My plans as of now are to get li-ions, an AtomicMods Nuke 130 SM motor, an FET upgrade, oil shocks, GPM tie rod, and GPM steering knuckles.

Thanks again for your reply I thought that I had posted in a dead forum

Yo X ..
Honestly,
These trucks are totally awesome.
I have more Mini-Z's than probably anyone.
I have tested them all and know what each type is good for.
It also depends if you are going to race it against another truck.
If you are just going to play with it alone, you will eventually get bored with any R/C, even the most expensive ones.
All that aside, The trucks have great run time and reliability. When going over a jump,it sometimes bounces up into a wheelie. Very kool stuff.
If you use a Kyosho X-Speed motor and use the biggest pinion gear,it will be plenty fast.(The truck kit includes 3 or 4 different pinion gears for power or speed to your liking.)
Measure the exact size space that you will be able to use as a track and I will give you a more precise opinion.
I made probably the best Monster track ever made based on its speed and capability. It was a 10.5 foot x 16 foot track. I dont have a pic handy here, but if I find it I will show you.
Get back to me on the space and I will point you in a practicle direction.
My best, Dean
