Mini-Z TURBO-RB from kyosho works great on Mini-z monster

I have a pn-S03 motor and a TURBO-RB from kyosho and it works great on the monster, it lift up front wheels without taking it in reverse with 12-tooth pinion!

But dont turn off the power on the monster with all batteries into it, the car goes crazy then, but the turbo is great and it is not so hot and it works great, buy it self and feel the power on the monster.

Chech out members album on page 9 at starfoot and you wil se some pictures off my cars!

YES, It can be done... You can put in a turbo and be able to turn the power switch off. But you have to make some adjustments for it to work. Phil (a member at CP Mini Raceway) showed me how he installed the trubo to his monster and I did it today. It really wasn't that bad to do. The problem with the Monster/OL is that it runs good with the turbo until you turn off the switch. Then the power from the batteries seams to go to the curcuit board from the turbo. burning the turbo up. I have the topcad turbo (had it for about 2 monthes) with reverse. (really big one) Take the curcuit board out and remove the on/off switch. remove the two wires from the switch and solder them together. This fakes out the board to think it is always on. tape (or plastidip) the soldered connection so it doesn't short out. Then remove the red power wire from the tab by the battery compartment. solder that to one of the terminals of the on/off switch. then take a wire (the red one from the motor you are going to install) solder that from between the battery tab and the other terminal for the switch. then install the turbo as you would normally do. The turbo works and you can turn it on/off without it screwing up. I have ran both my X speed with neo magnets and my S02 in it today. Both run good but the Xspeed is better. The X02 has a delay when going from reverse to forward so you cannot wheelie with it that way (with fresh batteries, you don't need to. You can wheelie just by going forward.) Personally I like the Xspeed in there. It has unbelievable speed and still has the reverse/forward without delay. I ALSO HAVE BREAKS!! I know Buckaroobonsi tried to install the turbo but he didn't do it this way. Try this and you will really see some speed (without having to install FETS). Some filing of the front of the chassis tub is also required so that the turbo wires can come through the tub.
