Can someone tell me the functional difference in Rear and Mid mount engines? Also, is this just an option for MR02 models? And finally, which MR02 come standard with either type?

I'm pretty new to all this, so finding all the terminology and technology specific to each version is a bit daunting. :D

Thanks

Re: MM vs. RM?

the MM and RM are two different types of handling, the MM does drive better it hasnt got so much oversteer like the RM !

with my MM config i can make turns as hard and sharp as possible and with my RM i have to "sqeuze" the throttle in a curve or else... oversteer like hell...

Re: MM vs. RM?

I could be mistaken, but I know the Ferrari F-40 and the Enzo take MM mounts, maybe the F-50 takes the same size. I'm not sure tough.

Re: MM vs. RM?

Just got myself an F50 MR-02 RML and find the damper that comes with it doesn't fit as described above! 8O What is the solution? Is there a mod for this and why was this model produced with this obvious error?

It's a gorgeous model :D but I want to race it with a rear damper fitted.

Re: MM vs. RM?

Supposedly the MM handles a bit better because the motor is right over the axle. I kind of think that's crap, but i may be wrong.

What I do know is that with an RM body (Ferrari F50) you can't run the main rear shock becuase the body sits right on top of the chassis and motor mount.

I don't know of any bodies that go both configuartions.
