Re: Drifting

Kyosho makes awd miniz's. Add hard plastic wheels and there u go, a car that drifts better than any mod to a rgular can do!!

Re: Drifting

The "reverse into forward" is called a reverse spin-throw. A J-Turn is an 90 degree handbrake slide that you drive away from.

The fast and the furious shouldn't be used as a learning device, most of it is pure fantasy (like shifting gears 7 times in a supra in a drag race... one that lasts several minutes).

If you add some weights to the ends of your mini-z you will give the car more inertia, which will make the slides easier to control as long as you don't give them too much force (or you won't be able to recover the slide). It slows the process down enough to react properly. Balance the front and back to change the point of rotation.

yeah that's really easy to do with a mini-z. Full speed reverse, then whip it around and go forward in the exact same vector. When I was young (old as dirt now) we called that a rockford cause they would do one like clockwork every episode of the Rockford Files

yes, rockfords.... my dad told me bout that when he caught me doin one out of our driveway.... kinda left a pair of nice tire marks..

I have an x-speed and an 8 tooth pinion and I can slide very smoothly on the cement , have any of you tried doing the reverse into forwards trick with your mini-Zs like how brian did it on 2 fast 2 furious? I have mastered that on cement, Very, Very easy for me. :D All you do is go in reverse all the way and when you are ready to do the spin you turn the controller wheel and let go of the throttle at the same time you are steering and then you put your mini Z on reverse quickly. That sounds pretty complicated but it works.

you mean a J-turn manouvre?

Cuz reverse into forwards trick sounds like the reciepe for burning out in a FF car

Re: Drifting

i find that a 100% stock Z is the best for drifting. hard tires for no tracktion. not enough power to over drift. and mushy h plate to slide around. taht's how it was for me. the more i put onto the z, the harder it is to drift. maybe it's just me that dont know how to set it

Re: Drifting

all you really need are hard tires, rear shocks, a diff, and some extra juice. and make sure you're running on something smooth like wood or cement.
