I really wish that someone here would give step by step instruction on how to install the LED to the car. Hopefully with photos also. Thanks in advance.
each car is different, basicly do what u need to get the light shining forward were you want it to shine from... drill a 3mm hole and stick it through if thats all you want... some bodies already ahve holes that you can just set it in, and tape it down... if u mean tomake a custom LED set, just buy one..
I did just as Drac explains. Then I superglued my lights into my Viper and put some aluminum foil around the inside of the body for maximum shining. :)
I bought some lights for my miniz and have installed it on my car. The problem I am having is that when I race my car, my whole car shuts down after 30 sec and I have to wait like 10 seconds before the power comes back on.
I can still move my stearing wheel but the light are off and I can\'t move the car.
I\'m guessing that the car over heats or something and I have to somehow increase the power output.
Drew...You should make a new post becasue then you can see if someone replays to it and it be ezer to answer. Anywayz i\'ve had problems with my miniz even though it dosent have lights...the lights probly drain ur batteries quick...one way to solve this is to not use lights when ur racing...i belive u can solder a switch or some how disconnect the wires...lights r only good for night races and showing it off...The reason why u can move the servo is because It takes more power to run the motor then the little servo motor...inside ur servo box it has a small 1mm by 1.5mm motor...(Not mesuring the pinion gear which is gold colored;))
Hey thanks for your reply. But I still think that there must be some way to race my car with the light on. I have seen other ppl do it. I don\'t think it is a battery problem because I was using newly charged batteries. I guessing that something inside the car might have over heated or can\'t handle that much power. I\'ve read on a newsgroup that I might have to tweak somthing on the chip or add a resistor to my lights. But it was not very clear on how to do that.
I would really like to race my car with the lights on with out it stalling after 30 secs.
I cant see that the leds should make this, a led-kit doesent take any current whatsoever.. There must be something else who is wrong in your car... Does this just happen when you have the lights on?

AznLiquidBoy,

Does any ones else have any other solutions?
Drew.
Isolated power to the light kit... wich is probly set up for 6 volts.. 2 of those small 3volt lithiums would power it for a hour or so...
well... lets see... i\'ve seen some mini-z with an extra battery..but that would put more weight:P
so probly u shouldnt
That means I\'m still stuck. There must be a solution out there. I wonder if adding a turbo booster will help?
any idea?
umm... i think that just helps manage the power for the motor not really for other things..still might be a good idea to try it...

Maybe you have connected them wrong?
