Iwaver Motors

The new Iwaver motors that have come out recently are nice! My car sreams with the 40 000 rpm. However it screams in my Iwaver, not a mini-z. 8O I let my friend use the motor in his mini-z MR01 and it fried the hell out of his esc board because he didn't have a FET upgrade.

Why don't you give us more detal, post some more info? Which motor is it? Are you trying to say that iwaver motors are better in iwavers than Mini-Z's? I would like to know because I have heard VERY bad things about these motors, and pretty good things too.

That's exactly what I'm saying.....DO NOT use any of the Iwaver motors in your mini-z MR-01 unless you have a FET upgrade. The Iwaver can handle the voltage of the motor without a FET upgrade, but a mini z can't. Other than that, the Iwaver x-speed motor is very nice at a cheap price. (Got mine for less than $10 on Ebay.) What bad things have you heard about these motors? I've heard nothing but good things..That's why I bought it. I've ran this motor in my Iwaver for more than a week
and nothing bad has happened yet. I'm impressed with the motor, it has a lot more torque than my kyosho x-speed.

Re: Iwaver Motors

in my iwaver i had the iwaver x-speed pro motor in it.. it is an AWESOME motor.. but I found it was awesome to the point of undrivable. In a stock iwaver with no diff upgade and 20deg tires.. once the car hit full throttle it would just slide and spin.. even if it was going in a straight line.. i've now downgraded to an xmod stage 2 motor.. it's faster than stock but not as savage and the x-speed pro...
