Out of range

Hey everyone, just created an account because i just got a monster truck 3 days ago - YAY. So a big HI to all.

For the past three days i just ran the truck in my living room so there was no chance of it going out of range. Today though, i took it outside and my range is no more than 5-8 meters. Is this right? I have checked all the PCB to see if the antenna wire is soldered correctly and it is. I connected the external antenna as the book showed me, so as far as i can see there are not problems. But hey, i am new and it's probably something simple. I am running fresh NiMH batteries, is both the car and TX. I also took the crystals out and blew them clean and put them back in, but nothing is helping me.

If anyone could shead some light on my problem i would be most thankful as having to walk 2 meters behind the car at all times is annoying.

Thanks heaps..

monster-z.

I have two minz's and have the same problem.

I have fitted caps to the motor and still can't figure out why?

Re: Out of range

Heyz! I had a problem such as that on my racer(mr01).
Although i had to read a lot of forums, and a couple of webpages...it's solved! thank god!!! :D :D :D

I just resoldered my antena(to the receiver, on the mini-z). If you use the Kyosho KT-2 you can find this useful: http://minizcanada.com/tech/radio.php

you can increase the output of the controler :D :D :D

basically that was it...
some people say that if u run to close to electromagnetic fields(electric boxes, or something alike) it causes interferences...

I hope i have helped

good races

Re: Out of range

you need to put the stock antenna on with the inner antenna and make sure your battireis are good
