I designed a way to make track parts. Well the edge. So what you need:
A wooden floor wich is BIG (my living room isnt small luckily).
This is the idea.
We place... things on the ground that stick by sucking vacuum (dont know the english name)
Then on the pins wich are into those, we put the hooks of the 1 meter long pieces.
The pieces are hard on the end, but the 80% of it is ver flexible.
I'l render soon some more pics so you can see better what I mean. I want to start building this next week. If it's a succes i'l make a small movie and upload it.
What do you guys think of the idea so far?

That picture is far too dark for me to see anything, but it sounds like you're using suction cups. I very much like the idea; however, I'd use cheap-o flexible acrylic tubing as opposed to whatever you used.
