Need help here.... mine is an F1, running with x-speed and GPM turbo. but why oh why is it still oh so slow? we tried a quarter mile drag race and it took me almost 4 secs! what can I do to improve the acceleration and speed? this is on a carpet and using 9t pinion. thanks!
well, xspeed isn\'t all that fast. and using a 9t with xspeed means you\'ve got very little torque to get the thing accelerating. if it\'s just a short drag race, u would get better results using a smaller tooth pinion gear because with a 9, u might not reach top speed before the race is over. trial/error to see how much distance it takes your f1 to top out using the various pinion gears and change to that one for drag races.
If you would like to increase the torque and keep the X-Speed, install NEO magnets in it. You can then go to a bigger pinion and get a large amout of added torque. i also recomend going to a Ball Bearing can too. This will definitly increase the efficency of your motor.
