Hi guys i am new to mini-z's i bought an xmod a few days ago with the upgraded suspension and the ball bearing upgrade, and the upgraded stage 2 motor and AWD kit from radio shack. Well i ended up taking it back because the car would steer better to the left than it did right but when driving straight it was fine so the trim was set right but it still had a problem. I thought the quality wasn't that great either so i decided to go mini-z. Now i am trying to decide on which car to get. I am looking at the MR-02 or the new AWD. I mainly want a car that is going to have tight handling and be pretty quick. I would like to be able to experiment with drifting but not sure if i will ever get into it much. So which car would you reccomend? I am going to go to our hobby shop tomorrow they said they had a few on the shelf and are getting out of them so i don't think they have the AWD but might have the MR-02. So my question is can you drift with both of those cars or is one better than the other for drifting? My main purpose will be street racing in a gym down the road for fun. But would like to try drifting any suggestions would be great. Thanks

personaly after driving my friends awd and shit i think my Mr-01 rocks its ass i bough new tires diff wheels bolts and wet dripped my motor (stage 2 xmods POS) it rocks his fucking car + 2wd fun to drift
Thanks i have heard the AWD aren't that great from a few people now. I am going to go to our hobby shop today they only have a few left they say. They said they didn't sell very well for them so i am going to go see what they have left and they will probably only have MR-02's so i am going to probably pick up one of those.
ah nice man yea im tryin to decide on gluing my diff my stock one
hey
i have the skyline mini-z awd
its handling is incredible
its almost 3 times faster than your little xmod
( i would know cuz i have a lancer evo )
well i went down to our hobby shop yesterday and they didn't have any of the MR-02 or the AWD all they had were some older MR-01 chassis and i wasn't going to buy one of them and after looking around i ended up getting something totally different and after having it a day i am alot happier. I picked up one of these cars.

The thing is amazing it must do 25-30 MPH right out of the box i get about 20-25 minutes runtime off of a single charge on the battery pack and it is a real RC car not saying the Mini-Z's aren't real RC cars just this one i can run outdoors and indoors. It is alot easier to run outdoors cause it is too quick for indoors but overall i am very happy with it.
i bet money hands down my mr-01 would beat a awd. after i get my parts even with stock tires i dremeld
OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH
its on
hold on what kind of motor do ya got?
is x-speed then theres no difference
except the handling yo
